Lost 2+ years of mortgage split data after Q Mac 7.1 update

Question

Updated Quicken to 7.1 in early June. Just today noticed that all of the split data for my mortgage payments back to 2020 have been reset to "Uncategorized" so all of my balances, interest amounts & escrow totals are incorrect. I checked the pre-update backup and all of the splits are fine. I'm on Quicken for Mac, MacBook Pro, Ventura 13.4

My mortgage splits were not affected by the update, so hopefully this was an isolated incident. We'll see if any other reports of this roll in.

Yes, I will restore from that backup.  No biggie.  I'm just pointing out that my data loss happened at the same time that I updated the app, so there may be a correlation. Others may want to be aware of this and be cautious when updating.

So why can't you simply restore that backup?
