My Quicken for windows crashed and will not start.
I am told this is a problem that has not been corrected. I uninstalled Quicken and reinstalled the program but it still does not work. I could install it on another computer. Why does it not work on my desktop?

Try clicking on the Q program icon while holding down the CTRL and SHIFT keys. This will start Q without opening your data file. If this works, the problem is with your data file, not Q itself, and you need to Restore from a recent Backup to proceed.

It let my security program to ask if I wanted to let Quicken access the cloud which is new but still crashed before it opened.

I don't understand what your security program has to do with it.
And are you sure you clicked on the PROGRAM icon and not a DATA icon? Right click on the icon to see what it is.

This is the first time by clicking on the icon it attracted the attention of the security program (i.e. allows it to go to the cloud) I believe I need to reload my operating system but I am reluctant to do that.
