Support for Symbol Change Corporate Action
When is support for the Symbol Change corporate action being implemented?
PS: I have just been on a chat with support and they have advised me that the symbol change corporate action is NOT currently supported by Quicken (you can manually change the symbol though). Was further advised that this will be implemented soon thus this question to track progress (as advised by chat support Evelyn)

I have not noted any significant complaints about that as a missing wizard-type action. As noted it can be done manually, rather easily in my opinion, though some better guidance on the two pop-up options would be nice. While such a new feature might be in development, I personally doubt it (my opinion only, speculative, no information to support).
I would not object to seeing the Corporate Name Change wizard also allow a ticker change.

I think you mis-understood, completely. Whether there are no complaints is neither here nor there (and most probably a case of blissful ignorance). I am (and was) aware of the SC transaction / pop-up dialog plus other ways this can be achieved, and that is more suited to account 'maintenance mode' as opposed to on-boarding of an account. In any case, Quicken advertises itself as supporting CA's - and they do with most other CA's such as splits.
As such, I wouldn't classify this as a feature request, it is core functionality, advertised but not (yet) implemented. I won't hold my breath for it to be implemented, but as I mentioned, I was advised by support to open a thread here where they'd post updates.

Why doesn't a simple 1:1 Corporate Acquisition work for you … with "security name -new" acquiring "security name -old'?

Do you have trouble comprehending what you read or is your contribution to this thread simply to offer another (of many) work-arounds? Just to be clear, it is advertised functionality that Quicken support informed me isn't currently implemented (re-read the rest).

I have never known Quicken to pre-announce items in development. I think you have been poorly advised both in that aspect and in what to expect from a post to this ‘community’.
If you want assistance with an issue from fellow users, you can get it with posts on this site. You are very unlikely to get any official info from Quicken personnel.
Having expressed those thoughts, I’ll be quiet now.

Poorly advised, maybe, but that is what I was advised to do. Maybe I could have phrased the opening post differently, but I think I was clear enough in the body of the post as to how I got here. So yeah, workarounds is not what I sought (and this was made clear in the chat to support) as this is about on-boarding many users onto Quicken.
