Bank register stops at today's date
Future entries suddenly disappeared from my register. How do I get them back? I've used Quicken for years but recently changed to Mac. I find it very difficult.

In the upper right corner of any register, click the little clock icon and select how far into the future you want to see future-scheduled transactions in that register. you can have different time periods for different accounts or account groups (e.hg. Banking or Investing or All Transactions).

I think we all have trouble adapting to change after using one product/system for many years. And Quicken Mac and Quicken Windows do have their differences, to be sure! But hopefully over time, as you learn and get comfortable with the Mac user interface, and let your brain-eye-hand muscle memory get reprogrammed, you'll find it increasingly easier and more pleasant to be using Quicken Mac. 😃

Also please verify:
- register is not filtered to only show a subset of transactions or a Date Range like "Year to Date"
- register still is sorted by Date
- register is scrolled all the way to the bottom (for ascending Date sort) or top (for descending Date sort)0 -
I've checked date range, projected balance, full screen and those didn't work. I did finally clear filters and type "filters" in Search. I had to do this a couple of times, close the register and reopen and now I can see the entries. I don't understand filters and why there is something hidden, but I got to the projections I need.
Thanks for the help.

@GVermont I'm not sure why you typed the word "filters" in the Search box; I think you misunderstood. When we talk about "filters" in Quicken Mac, that refers to the drop-down menus which show which appear above the column headings; they allow you to narrow what's displayed in the register by date range, by type of transaction, or by transaction status.
When any of those criteria aren't set to "Any" (meaning "all") you have a filtered (limited) view of your transactions. Note that the green "Clear Filters" button shows up only when a filter is set; if all your filters are set to "any", you don't see the "Clear Filters" button because there's nothing to clear — so it's a good, quick visual way to know at a glance if you've constrained your visible transactions.
It sounds like through doing your search for the word filters or switching registers, you got the filters cleared so that your search now presents the desired results. Going forward, just make sure you (a) don't see Clear Filters button, or click it if you do, and make sure the register you're viewing is sorted by Date you can tell the column a register is sorted by because the column heading is in blue, it's bold, it has a blue line above it, and there's a "V" icon next to the name:
I hope that helps.
