All my balances are completely wrong

This year has been a nightmare of issues. Every time I open I feel like I'm spending an hour just correct some sort of error from the latest update. Last month was constant issue with any recurring transactions. This entire year I've had pay check items in my uncategorized when there are none. And now all of my account balances are completely wrong. I can't reconcile anything. I don't see any odd entries and the previous reconcile balance has change. I've used quicken for 15 or 20 years if not more. I just can't see continuing any longer.

    One problem that seems to come and go is Quicken changing Opening Balances in Accounts, a problem that's associated with "downloading." That's the first place I'd suggest looking.

    A couple of issue -

    • Opening Balances getting randomly changed - for safe keeping - suggest copying the amount into the MEMO field of the Open Bal entry
    • Reconcile is off - some banks are now downloading Online Balance that INCLUDES their Pending Transactions, but those Pending transactions are not downloaded
