Catagory Field errors Quicken Home and Business

Every time I do a transfer from our private account to our business account, it gets messed up. Quicken will put the transfer in my credit card, my wifes credit card or into a card that we havent used for several years and doesn't exist anywhere I can see. I spend atleast 30 to 60 minuts trying to figure out where the money went and getting it back into the proper accout. The problem involves the catagory field.

    Are you depending on downloads to "do your accounting for you?" If that's the case then simply enter the transfer manually when you initiate the transfer with the bank. Subsequent downloads should find and match the two sides of the entry in the correct Accounts.

    If you don't want to do that then you might try

    Edit > Preferences … > Transfer Detection, then clicking on "Scan downloaded transactions for possible transfers" and then select "Automatically create transfers when detected."

    I changed the "Transfer Detection" to what you suggested. I hope that works.
