How to upgrade to deluxe

I'm trying trying to upgrade to Deluxe. I was told that I can't upgrade until my subscription expires. Is that correct? Why would I not be allowed to upgrade in the middle of my subscription period?

    So you currently have Quicken Starter, and want to move to Deluxe? To the best of my knowledge, you need to purchase a full year subscription for Quicken Deluxe, and then they will apply the value of the unused portion of your Starter subscription to extend the length of the new Deluxe subscription. Did you call or text chat with Quicken Support about this? (Subscription transactions are not something anyone on this forum, including the Quicken moderators, can directly deal with.)
