Add a "Confirm" data field

Many card companies, etc are issuing a "Confirm" code when a payment is made. I'm suggesting to shorten the Payee data field by 10 characters and adding a "Confirm" data field of 10 characters on the same line.

That is what I use the memo field for when making transfers to make a payment in a credit card account. I can't think of anything better to put in it since it is a payment whose one important piece of info is the Confirmation #.

How about enabling the "Downloaded ID" under Register Columns. Does that do what you want?

I'm pretty sure the OP is referring to the confirmation code that you get from the credit card company that you made a payment transaction, it is not something that is in the downloaded information.

I put confirmation codes at the end of the Memo field. If they get cut off in the register, no problem, they can be made visible.

That said, I've never needed to use one for any reason. 🤠

Assuming this question is about Quicken for Windows …

In addition to the Memo field, there also is the Notes field. You can add it to your account register(s) and use it to store the confirmation code.
If your register is running in 1-line-per-transaction mode and the register display gets a little crowded with the added field, consider switching to 2-lines-per transaction mode, add the field to the register and see if that works better for you. Press CTRL-2 to toggle between 1- and 2-line modes.
