Open Account to Transaction Register

My daughter purchased Quicken for Windows and we are having difficulty getting the accounts to open up in register mode so she can see all of the transactions. IOW when she clicks on an account in the left hand pane, it should open as a register of transactions in the right hand pane. I can't find the setting that will produce this behavior.

    Is this for investing accounts? If so, select the account in the Account Bar at the left and click on the gear at the top right of the account display. Select Edit Account Details and under Tracking method, select Complete - Positions and transactions.

    In the latest versions of Quicken, to make new accounts default to Complete mode, go to Edit > Preferences > Investments and un-check the box "Default to Simple investing for new accounts"
