Reconciliation Issues? My account will not reconcile! Is there a bug??

Something wrong with reconciliation!!! I am using Quicken premier ver 7.2.1 for Mac ver 13.5.
All of my past reconciliations balance. My current reconciliation shows:
Statement Ending Balance $4,102.57
Quicken Balance, cleared transactions shows -$4,102.57
BUT !!! Difference shows amount doubled at $8,205.14. It should be $0
It will not allow me to "Finish"
You have a bug in your program. Please notify me by email to let me know this is resolved. You expect me to renew my subscription on 20-Aug-2023!

@Nadine Van Dyk First, this website is not Quicken Support. It's a community site where fellow Quicken users help each other, with assisantance from a handful of Quicken moderators. But if you want Quicken Support, you need to contact them. Support is available by phone or text chat; in a case like yours, I'd recommend phone, because they can screen share to see what you're seeing and help you fix the problem.
Second, you will not get a response via email. Quicken Support is available by phone and chat. They do not offer support via email. In my opinion, it's too hard to go back and forth via email on an issue where there needs to be interaction.
Third, there are no any known bugs I'm aware of with Reconcile in Quicken Mac. Problems with reconciliation almost always turn out to be "operator error", or errors in data sent by a financial institution, rather than a bug in the code of Quicken. Without seeing your data, it's impossible for me to know where your problem might be. The fact that it's off by the exact amount, in an opposite direction, points at some data error. I'm fairly certain that either the transactions or the balance are reversed. So let's dig in a little more…
What type of account is it? Checking or credit card? Keep in mind that credit cards normally have a negative balance, and charges on a credit card are negative transactions, while payments are positive. Are your transactions for credit card charges negative?
Are you reconciling to an online balance downloaded from your financial institution? If you're not doing this currently, you might try entering the balance from your statement manually in Quicken. To do this, if you're on the Reconcile screen, click the "Back" button to get back to the small "How would you like to reconcile your balance?" screen, and click the middle option to "Use statement balance". Enter the $4,102.57 balance (positive number here), then click Next, and see if the difference is now zero or if it remains double the actual balance.
