Why are several debits to my checking account listed prior to the date the opening balance shows in the register? Thanks for any help.
If your register is sorted by date (oldest at the top), it is because they have a date earlier than the Opening Balance transaction.
If their dates are correct, just change the date on the Opening Balance transaction to be prior to their dates.
Why? Anybody's guess, but maybe you entered them with an incorrect address.
To sort the register, click on the column header that you want it sorted by, click it a second time (not a double click) to reverse that order if so desired.
