Need help with new subscription

I uninstalled new quicken subscription in order to load intermediate program version to restore data files. To reinstall the new subscription, will the one-time use activation code still work?

The activation code is only needed once to activate the subscription against your Quicken ID.

What do you mean … "in order to load intermediate program version" ?

Were you opening/converting some very old Quicken data files ?
The current Quicken software will open/read most of the recent years of Quicken QDF data files -

As mentioned, the Activation Code is used with retail purchases -
and it merely authorizes your Quicken User ID Email Address for using Quicken …..
on any computer, with any software & data files

One problem of opening an older version data file with the current version of Quicken is that the data file will be converted to the newer version's format of data file and that may not be desirable.

If you are going to do it, do it with a copy of the older data file.
