two recent nuisances, "change quicken file password" and Accounts "undocked"
For the last month or so, even with the latest quicken updates, I get these two nagging items every time opening the program. First, a popup to "change quicken password." Even though I check the box to not ask again, it does. Secondly, even though the View>Account Bar>Dock Account Bar is checked, it is unchecked every time opening Quicken. Again, just nuisances, but shouldn't be happening. I "validated" my file, but this was no help. thanks for any words. Been using this program forever (mid 90's ?), and have never had these issues.

Hello @RobM,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community and telling us about your issue, though we apologize that you are experiencing this.
First, could you please provide a screenshot of the "change Quicken password" prompt you receive? If needed, please refer to this Community FAQ for instructions on how to attach a screenshot. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop screenshots to your response if you are not given the option to add attachments.
Thank you!

Secondly, even though the View>Account Bar>Dock Account Bar is checked, it is unchecked every time opening Quicken.
If you are using the View / Standard Menus setting, change it to View / Classic Menus and see if that fixes the problem across Quicken sessions.

Thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately, just like is happening with the "unchecking" of docking the account bar, even after checking "view/classic menus", it gets "unchecked" upon the next opening of Quicken

It seems as though many of my "preferences" are ignored upon the next opening of Quicken, and are changed back on their own. Another issue is Downloaded Transactions. Despite for years having the boxes for "automatically add" to banking and investment registers being UNCHECKED, these boxes are checked every time after opening Quicken (even after unchecking them before closing).
