Assigning Category to a payee

I have 120 transactions with a single payee that I want to assign a category to them all at one time and any future transactions have the same category assigned to that payee automatically.

Edit > Find/Replace…

Find > Payee: Exact > {enter Payee name}

Replace > Category > With: {enter Category name}

That will do the trick for all historical entries.

For future entries, use the Memorized Payee list, create the association of Payee and Category, and "Lock" that item. All future transactions should end up with that Category.
