How to reinstall Quicken 2017 - accidentally deleted it (edit)
I was cleaning up old programs off my desktop. I mistakenly removed Quicken 2017 (local copy, not cloud) as it looked like Turbo Tax 2017.
I have tried downloading Quicken again. When I open it, I see the correct interface with my acounts flash for a second and then it disappears and all I see is the File and Help options. It's as off it's validating something at the end that stops it from showing my data or any of the actual interface.
I did try installing the patch but the end result was the same. It does seem to have retained my data files but I can't open them. The same problem occurs. I also tried to create a new file but the same problem occurs. so I can't see any account level functionality or data. Help please. Thanks so much.
I am on Windows 10.

Hopefully, you can find the needed files on a backup of your computer. It is NOT in any backup that Quicken makes of the data file.

thank you so much for the quick answer. Unfortunately when I removed Quicken, it’s completely gone from my computer. So I have nothing retained to copy over to the new folders. It’s all on the same computer.

You don't have any system image backups of your computer or at least backups of something more than your documents?
If not, you should think about making them in future for if or when your harddrive fails.
