Quicken forgot how to add/subtract

Within the last three months, I've had an investment account show a different "Total Market Value" than "Share Balance." No missing transactions, no errors on entries, and the securities value is correct. I manually add transactions every month. It's a MM fund with $1 share value that doesn't change. The share balance is correct. "Securities Value" and "Total Market Value" are off by $133.50.

Driving me nuts!

Odd. Is this a "recent" error? If so you might go back and delete then re-enter the transactions immediately prior to this error showing up to see if that fixes the situation. Also a {Ctrl}-z key press would force a recalculation of the current balance and that might help.

Within last three months. Tried Ctrl - z, no joy.

Even though it should be $1 per share, double check the price history. Right click on the MM fund and select Price History. You can have fractions listed. Also in the # of shares might go out more places.

No change in price history from as far back as I've held the fund. And the share balance matches my paper statements exactly. If I missed a transaction and didn't load it, the share balance would be lower, not higher. No cash balance in the fund. I've been a Quicken user since 1986. This makes about four times now I've contemplated pulling the plug.

Click on the Holdings tab, check all the fields. Maybe that will give a clue.

Yes! No! The account overview section has the correct values for share balance, market value, and cost basis. The account status section just below, is $133.50 less. Totally weird! Thanks for your input, BTW!

Is it possible you entered an "Add Shares" or "Remove Shares" transaction when you should have entered a "Buy Shares" or "Sell Shares" transaction instead?
Were there any fees or commissions or other expenses charged to the account?

In a Portfolio View for this security, expand the view to "Show lots" (click the "[+]" button next to the security name. Now review the lots and look for unusual numbers, e.g., Price not 1.00, fee or commission withheld, etc.
