I tried to add an online account for a car lease from Hyundai Motor Finance Company but quicken created a loan and marked it as paid off. I changed it to an auto loan but it still has no entries. How do I convert it to a lease?
I have leased in the past.
I simply set up a scheduled monthly payment to the lessor.
No accounts are involved. You have no equity.
You can likely terminate the lease at any time - subject to penalty charges.
The lease is is really no different than a ;omg term rental - just a monthly expense.
I'm not aware that Quicken supports car leases, car loans, yes, but not leases.
