Copy or Back up file errors

When I select Copy or Back Up File, then Complete Back Up, I get the following error popups:

1 Unable to close files

2 Unable to load item list file

3 Unable to re-load current file after copy

After closing each and all the popups, I am lest with a blank screen with only File and Help at the top left.

Then I get a popups saying the file cannot be opened because it is use somewhere else.

Rebooting the computer will allow me to reopen the backup.

    Are you using some variety of cloud backup storage like One Drive or Dropbox for your Quicken data file? If so, it is grabbing the file after the backup and before Quicken can reopen it. You need to turn off the cloud backup while you are using Quicken.

    I am not using any cloud or dropbox. This just started a few days ago. No changes had been made other than transactions.

    For now, I cannot get back on to see if cloud sync is activated.

    SOLVED. Since I could not navigate anywhere in Quicken, I uninstalled and reinstalled Quicken, then restored a recebt backup.

    Works fine for now
