Quicken very slow, multiple uninstall/reinstall did not correct

I have deleted quicken, reinstalled several times, customer support, patches, and it still takes forever to load, update accounts, backup. It's been like this for months! Once in a while it will come up fairly quick and make me think it is going to work right. But it doesn't. I basically use it as a one stop checkbook for all my accounts and enter stuff manually, because of problems early on. I can only imagine what it would do if I had Quicken doing all the work.
