Separating investments under accounts into groups

My investments are divided into 3 trusts. Is there a way, on the main Quicken page under accounts, then investments, to further subdivide the accounts to quickly show which investments are in each trust?

    Hello @kayelena,

To answer your question, the sub-divisions on the main page are done by account type and the ability to customize it is extremely limited. You can re-arrange accounts that are within the same sub-group, but cannot move accounts to a different sub-group or group. To rearrange accounts on the side bar, right click on the side bar and select Rearrange accounts.

You will then be able to drag and drop to reorder accounts, so long as you are not trying to move them out of the sub-group (for instance, you can reorder brokerage accounts, but can't move a brokerage account into the section with retirement accounts).

Another option is to rename the accounts so that you have something indicating which trust the account is associated with at the start of the account name. That would give you a visual indicator, even if it's not possible to group the accounts together. To rename an account, go to Tools>Account List, click the Edit button next to the account you want to edit, then on the General tab, you can edit the Account name and click the OK button once you have made the changes you wanted to make.

    I hope this helps!

Just being able to insert a separator line in the Account List would be extremely helpful.

    Hello @RCBreier,

Thank you for joining the discussion. Quicken for Windows does not currently offer that feature, but if it is something you would like the Product and Development teams to consider, I would recommend creating an Idea post. If an Idea post gets enough votes, then the requested feature/change may be implemented in future releases of Quicken. You can use this link to get to the Ideas section for Quicken for Windows.

    Thank you!
