Cloud Sync with Multiple Data Files

I may (more likely than not) be taking over managing another set of finances that I want to keep separate from my own. I plan to manage those finances in Quicken. I know I can have multiple data files. If I were to sync the new data file to the cloud, would it stay separate on the cloud from my own data file?

Yes, it will be seperate. Just be aware that if you give someone else your Quicken ID /password to access the cloud, they'll be able to see both files if they are synced to the cloud.

Thanks for confirming that. They won't have access to my Quicken ID.

Just one warning. Make sure the new data file is created with File → New or File → Copy or Backup File → Create a copy or template. Don't make a Windows copy of your data file and then change it. There is a unique Id associated with every data file that connects it to the Quicken Cloud dataset. If you just copy a file in Windows the two data files will have the same unique Id and be accessing the same Quicken Cloud dataset.
