Add another user's accounts without co-mingling funds with mine

Options

Hi,
I am now responsible for another person's finances. I'd like to set up a Quicken account or user for them and keep their accounts separate from my accounts. Is there a method to add another person's information to Quicken without co-mingling their accounts? Thank you.

Simply create a new data file with a different file name. Many of us have done that.

I would suggest creating a new Quicken data file. From Quicken —> File —> New Quicken File…

If either of you is using QMobile/QWeb, just know that both data files are associated with the same Quicken ID. That means, that if both of you use QMobile/QWeb, both of you can see the other's data that has been synced to the Quicken Cloud account. The data is still kept separate, it is just a matter of what each of you has access to.

If the other person (the one that you are managing their finances for) isn't going to use Quicken in any way, this is not an issue.
