401k Cash In

I have a bunch of "Bought" transactions in my 401k, but the cash balance is negative because I don't have all the XIn transactions.

I previously did this the "correct" way by inputting all my pay stub information into the direct deposit record in my checking account and the employee contribution amount was linked to the 401k account. Is there some way to put cash into the account without having to create all the details of the pay stub?

I think I can do it with XIn but need to assign a Payee… but not sure this is "correct".

Enter a deposit transaction where the category is the name of the account you are in, in square brackets.
