Updating to Version 7.4.1 (Build 704.51555.100) - Lost Transaction History
Good morning.
After a recent update, some of my accounts lost their transaction history. Rebuilding does not work. Anyone else run into this? The screenshot below used to have months of data on my account. Now it has only one date. I can't rebuild the history - gives an error that the security cannot be found.

Did you lose transaction history or price history? You said transactions but your screenshot is a price history screen.
In either case, I would probably try reverting you the backup of your file from prior to installing the 7.4 update to see if the problem recurs. you should have backup files generated by Quicken in the days prior to the update. Did you install 7.4.0 and then 7.4.1, or did you go directly from 7.3.2 to 7.4.1? Whichever was your first 7.4.x update, Quicken also automatically created a backup of your data before the update, so you should be able to get back to that fairly easily. You'll find it in your Quicken > Backups > Automatic Backups folder, and it will be called "BACKUP (Pre-Update) - [your file name]"
If it's missing price history, you can download prices from a website (such as finance.yahoo.com) and import the .csv file into Quicken. But I'm confused that you say clicking Rebuild History gives you an error that the security can't be found. This indicates that you don't have a valid/known symbol for the security, because otherwise, Rebuild will re-download missing prices for the past 5 years.
So, if reverting to the recent backup doesn't resolve the issue, can you clarify what exactly is missing, and what security(ies) are missing price history?

Thank you for your reply. I noticed that the symbol in quicken changed from what it used to be (I did a restore to see). I put the correct symbol in place and it says the security already exists in my security list. I can either edit it or choose a different security. Neither one does what I want. I think for now I'll let this go, these are short term CDs so they'll be gone soon. Hoping this doesn't spread to other areas of Quicken. thanks again for your helpl.
