Scenario

  1. My paycheck with all of the good info like taxes, etc. is auto entered every payday.
  2. After a few days, I download transactions from the bank.
  3. Quicken Windows matches about 95% of the transactions properly, but routinely does not match my auto registered transaction and the entry from the bank.
  4. I want to be able to select the transaction I already entered and the transaction that was downloaded, right click and select "MATCH TRANSACTIONS".

You can do this the other way around, i.e., right click the download transaction in the "Downloaded Transactions" window and select "Edit" then "Match manually."

I'd expect that Quicken would recognize the already-entered transaction if the date, amount, etc. agrees. Looking at the entry in the Register vs. what's been downloaded, are there any differences?

This is an already existing feature. Click the pencil icon on the manually entered transaction and select match in the context menu.
