Fidelity - Direct vs EWC
over on the Simplifi forum - the software has been having probs connecting with Fidelity Investments - resulting in FDP-105 errors -
A recent suggestion from the admin was to change to - Fidelity Investments & Retirements -
Here are the 2 entries from here on the QWin side -
BUT - be aware of a change and losing detailed transaction if using Fidelity and EWC

Quicken (and Fidelity) have been incredibly silent and cryptic on this one. It seems that Fidelity is pushing some users to reauthorize to EWC (or EWC+ ?) and that once that is completed there are account mismatches (with Schwab accounts no less) and that the only option available is for Simple Investing…no more Complete Investing option. I've asked Quicken for clarification about what is going on but have not received a response, yet.
Those who have reauthorized are reporting big issues with the reauthorization and a lot of confusion because of the lack of information. Here ia a QMac thread regarding it.:
It sure would be nice if a Moderator would step in and provide clarification. I can't believe that there hasn't been any advance Alert or other notification regarding this.

Unfortunately, it is still not clear (at all) regarding which "Fidelity" financial institutions are affected. There are 33 "Fidelity" FIs in QWin alone. Still no answer as to which ones are affected.
What I can say is that it looks like it affects only EWC (moving to EWC+) connections. Fidelity Investments and Fidelity NetBenefits support DC only so if the Moderator is correct that it affects only EWC accounts then it means these two FIs are not affected by this.
