Where are reinvested capital gains distributions recorded in Quicken?

Automatically reinvested dividends are recorded in the category _DivInc.

Is there a corresponding category for automatically reinvested short-term and long-term capital gains distributions?

There are special Categories for capital gains distributions - _ST CapGnDst, _MT CapGnDst, and _LT CapGnDst . The MT is a leftover from years ago when there was a Midterm tax rate. Note that all the investing Categories are hidden by default.

The associated actions for those distributions will use the related categories automatically. From the Enter Transactions button, the Income selection will get you there.

… and for reinvestments, enter them on the Reinvest page.

And from the Transaction List (Register), the selections are ReinvSh, Md, and Lg.

@Jim_Harman Thanks for the pickup on that. My oversight.
