Quicken 2017 without connected services
I have found on the internet that my purchased 2017 is no longer supported for connected services wich i dont agree but udnerstand. My issue is i cant seem to use the software at all that i PAID for as a stand alone PC version. I just keep getting connected services errors. Is there a way to disable this reaching out for connected services so i can at least use what i paid for minus this feature?

To be more specific, the message i get is your quicken connected services have expired. I undersatnd the connections to bank accounts might be expired, but is there a way to still use the sofware without the connected services? I start a new file and it just brings up this warning. I open up my old file i started to start to try and use agai and it gives me this message. I just want to use the software as purchased. I dont recall seeing any warnings that my stand alone version would become inoperable aftter a few years, in my case it died it appeard on April 30, 2020.

Are you talking about the big Renew banner that takes up about 25% of the screen? No you can't get rid of that unless you renew. See,
Under...Why am I seeing an expiration banner?I'm staying on Quicken 2013 Premier for Windows.

One last note, i have since found posts saying i have to grab some old config files and replace it on my new install. I have a different computer now and no longer have the old one. I had not used the software for a few years anyways but am wantign to use it again due to budget tracking for next year. is there a way to get generic config files on a new PC so i can start fresh? it is a windows 11 if that part matters. I still have my original install media. Thank you in advance!!

I think you will need the ini file from the old computer. Someone else will have to reply about that.

Yes, i was talking about the subscription banner. Thats the part that is confusing. When i spent the money in 2017 for the software i do not recall agreeing to a conversion to a subscription service in 2020. So its confusing why i cant at least use my software unsupported and even if that means unsupported and not functional at all for connected services. I just want to try and use the features on my software minus the part that has been killed with connected services.

Can you Help → About Quicken, and and post the version number?
It sounds like you are dealing with Quicken 2018/subscription not quicken 2017. Quicken 2018 would have come out at the end of 2017.

OK that is Quicken 2017 and that makes more sense, now I know what you are looking at.
Quicken 2017 started out with using the "Intuit Id" which have to be logged into to register a new data file.
But the Inuit server for this is long gone. At patch R11 this was changed to the Quicken Id".
So, the first then you need to do is patch to the latest:
But there is a problem with that. Quicken Inc changed the server login, and it no longer works for versions of Quicken older than Quicken Subscription/2018.
There is a link at the top of the website above for a workaround for this that works for some people but not for everyone.
