Windows pc, Quicken windows subscription. Canadian user.

Hello! Will Quicken be supporting Canadian institutions like Wealthsimple and Eq Bank anytime soon? Before I was using mint from Intuit and it supported all my banks/accounts.

Quicken Inc never announces information like this, but my answer would be no, don't expect support for new financial institutions any time soon, especial not for the Canadian financial institutions.

If you were on Quicken Mac there would be a bit better chance, in fact it already supports more than Quicken Windows. Mostly I think that is because at least at the start of the rewrite of Quicken Mac it pretty much got the same aggregation/connection system that Minit did.

I will note this if you can get the transactions in a format like CSV and don't might downloading that file and converting it into a format that Quicken can use, you can try my program ImportQIF, which is free:

Keep in mind, the question is not really "will Quicken support" those financial institutions; the question is, will those financial institutions sign an agreement with Quicken (or Intuit, Quickens transaction data aggregator) to agree to allow and support transaction download. Support for download with Quicken requires the financial institution to enter into an agreement for such.

Onboarding new financial institutions for Quicken Canada and improvements to the transaction download methods happen very slowly.

If you want/need support from a particular financial institution you should direct this interest at the financial institutions - ask them to sign up with Quicken.

I suggest you change switch financial institution. That is in your control. Getting smaller financial institutions to sign up for Quicken support has proven very difficult in most cases and is not in the customers control. If I had that problem I'd take control of the situation and solve it. I think you are Waiting for Godot if you wait for those institutions to sign up with Quicken.
