    My guess? Never.

    More likely official answer?

Quicken Inc seldom announces anything before it is done.

What product and version of Quicken are you using? Are you trying to change the column widths in a Banking register? If not, what are you trying to change?

In my Quicken Classic Ver: R53.32 I can change the column width in all Registers and tables. Hover the mouse in the column header at the column boundaries. The cursor changes to a two headed arrow. Then you can drag it to the width you want. At the very right of the header there is a little box. If you click it you can select the column you want to display.

@DoctorBrown he is talking about these columns which are "sub columns" when in two column mode.

You can only change the size of the Payee column, but sub columns are always equally spaced under it.

That was the part I was missing. Thanks for the clarification.
