why does annual budget show different amounts categories overnight

for the past months I am having to constantly correct the amounts entered in my budget in various categories and categories keep appearing after I have un-selected them and thus removed them. In the following mornings I have new numbers-not related to any past budget or spending patterns I can identify and unchecked categories are back again

I make the corrections and save as I do so,I manage my categories by un- selecting them

I have kept a paper copy so I have data to correct but this is not ideal

    It seems that when it syncs to the cloud it resets all the budget data. It appears to be a known problem.

    Turn off Sync to Mobile/Web until they get this fixed (if they ever get it fixed).

    Edit → Preferences → Mobile & Web

    Let's be brutally honest for everyone… Quicken Budgeting and Mobile/Web syncing are currently incompatible. Its broken. Its been broken. Nothing any user can do will fix, avoid, or prevent this from happening if both elements of the Quicken Classic software are in use.

    DO NOT USE BOTH.

    You either get one or the other.

    Given the Sync to Mobile/Web has been shown to cause other kinds of data file corruption besides the budgets, I know which one I picked.

    EDIT: From what I see in this forum (that is the only way I can judge because except for quick tests I don't use Sync to Mobile/Web), some people are "lucky" and it works fine for them. But others aren't so lucky.
