College Ave
I'm trying to connect to College Ave Student Loans — it used to work, but I can't auth anymore. I'm getting a CC-503 "Oops. Did you mistype your login?" — but, I'm using the same username / password I use to get into the website and iOS app…
What am I missing?

Have you tried Account Register > upper right Gear icon > Edit Account Details > Online Services tab > Reset Account? That sometime works when OSU does not.
If Reset Account does not work, you could try to Deactivate the account and then do Set Up Now (both on the same Online Services tab).

I'm confused — I don't believe I have an account to reset..? I'm just adding the account now…

I also reset my College Ave pwd — able to access via the website but still no joy via Quicken.

My response assumed you already had an account that you used to be able to download from because you said "I'm trying to connect to College Ave Student Loans — it used to work, but I can't auth anymore." Thanks for clarifying you situation.
If you have not already done so, you might want to read this Support Article: Error When Updating Accounts: CC-503 [Support Article].
I missed that you are trying to connect a loan account. Connected loans do not have account registers. They simply download the loan balance and you have no visibility to the payments, principal paid and interest paid.
Because of this, many people prefer to set up their loans as offline loan accounts instead of connected loan accounts.
- Offline loan accounts have full registers and you can see transactions and amortization schedules.
- In the process of setting up the loan account Quicken will generate a Loan Reminder with a split category that will have the calculated principal and interest in it.
- You can set up the Reminder so that you can manually enter the reminder into the payment account register and the loan account register each month (or whatever the payment schedule is) or you can set it up to be automatically entered.
- Whichever entry method you choose, make sure to enter it before the payment is downloaded into the payment account.
- When the payment transaction does get downloaded Quicken will match it to the Reminder that was previously entered into the register.
- Periodically review your loan account to see if there needs to be a balance adjustment. There probably will be but usually the adjustments are small.
- The principal and interest amortization will not only be visible in your Loan Account register but they will be able to be included in your various spending reports and budget.
Whether you want a connected loan or a manual loans is a personal choice.

Yeah — great point! I should have explained — I'm a decent IT guy but a horrible end-user. I had tried a reset, and then deleted the prior loan account in frustration… Both of these a couple of months ago — they weren't top of mind when I posted above…
I was hoping for a connected loan — at this point just keeping track of the balance was the goal. I have my mortgage and truck loan set up offline, but had set up the student loans to just get balances because for a different loan servicer I make one payment that gets distributed across multiple loans, and it was just a lot to keep track of. Was trying to do these with College Ave similarly, even though I have to pay each loan individually with them.
So at this point I'm attempting to create a new Connected Account — but, since I can't auth to College Ave, I can't create the account. I've verified that the account list has no accounts connected to College Ave, and I've verified that there are no entries for College Ave in the Password Vault. I'm not sure what I've done/what I'm missing, but it seems pretty drastic to do a Reset Vault just in case there's something there… It looks to me like my options at this point are to create the offline loan or to create a liability account and update the balance every now and again. Any other thoughts?
I hope that's helpful context… I appreciate your help and patience!

I've posted about this as well. There is a problem with the connection to College Ave. This thread seems to claim that it has been "resolved", but I have not seen any change for months. I also read something that suggested that the issue is on the College Ave side. I don't know, I haven't seen anything that is particularly satisfying on this one.
