Use the Edit button on the split line you have selected. That Edit button has a drop down list of actions, one of which is Delete.

right click, ther is no EDIT button. the DELETE button only deletes the CATEGORY, not the line.

i want to delete the line, so there is only ONE line, not two lines.

if you have a screen shot of action s to do, it is appreciated.

    thanks

Simply select the line you want to delete and press {Ctrl}-d. That deletes the entire line.

Access "memorized payee", find the payee with the split transaction, highlight the payee, and select delete. The next time you enter that payee in the register, it won't be a split transaction.

Just remember, the Next / Edit buttons for a selected line in the Split transaction dialog always appear one line below the selected line.
Look at the image @mshiggins provided above. If you select Line 1, the Next / Edit buttons appear in Line 2.
I don't know why the programmers did it that way … but it's always been that way. Maybe it's just to keep us on our toes …
