Not being a UBS customer myself, but based on the above list, for your IRA investment accounts you should try logging on to UBS Financial Services Inc. Have you tried that yet?
If all else fails, perhaps a call to UBS Support might answer your question.

The FIDIR listing for UBS Online Services shows that it supports BANKING (i.e., checking & savings accounts). It does not include INVESTMENT in the listing which means that investment accounts of any kind (including your IRA) are not supported for downloading. That is why you are getting that error code.

    • 67384 67384 67384 UBS Online Services https://www.ubs.com/global/en/more_logins.html NA https://onlineservices.ubs.com/olsauth/sp/pbl/ubso/dl ACTIVE BANKING,ACCOUNTINFO&EXP-WEB-CONNECT NOT_QBP NA

From what I can see in the FIDIR list there is only one UBS option that supports downloading of INVESTMENT (investment accounts): UBS Financial Services Inc. Have you tried setting up your IRA account with this financial institution?:

Also, something to look into before trying to set up this account if you wish to view all transactions in the investment account register, do the following. Otherwise you might have just a dashboard view showing cash + total positions but no transaction details.:

    1. Go to Edit > Preferences > Investments > if the box for Default to Simple Investing for new accounts is checked, uncheck that box > OK.
    2. If you have a manual account for this IRA already set up in Quicken, go to Account Register > upper right Gear icon > Edit Account Details > General tab > make sure Complete - Position and Transactions is selected > OK.

@sllrdl - The URLs for financial institutions shown in Quicken are solely for our reference and should not be construed as being how Quicken actually connects with them. Usually, Quicken connects to the financial institutions very differently than where we log into our online accounts.

If you look at the two FIDIR listings I posted above they both have 2 different URLs listed in them and they are identical to each other. One URL is www.ubs.com and the other is https://onlineservices.ubs.com . The two listings are both for UBS with the identical URLs but they serve different purposes regarding type of account, connection method, etc., so they are given different financial institution names.

UBS is not alone in doing this. It is actually a fairly common practice for financial institutions to have multiple different connection setups and names, even when the URLs are the same, because Quicken needs to connect with each of them differently for some specific reason.

I know, it can be confusing. We just need to remember that when we try to set up a connection for an account and if the financial institution that we select doesn't work, then maybe we need to take a look further to see if other connection options might exist that we should maybe try to set up with. Many times it can be a game of hit-and-miss until we find the correct connection setup link to be using.

Which "UBS" and what type(s) of account(s)?

Also, what kind of troubleshooting, if any, have you attempted to do?

There are several different UBS financial institutions and some are specific to the type of account you are trying to get set up with. Selecting the correct financial institution from Add Account can be critical to being able to get the account(s) set up in Quicken.

Here is what the FIDIR list shows for UBS options. The BOLD font names are the names of the financial institutions as shown in Add Account. The BOLD ITALICS show the type(s) of accounts that are supported for downloading. Other information in there can be helpful, as well, such as the URLs that are shown and the type(s) of connection method(s) that are supported.:

    Thanks for responding.

    UBS online services.

    IRA TYPE Accounts.

I have signed all the required approvals in my Ubs account for Quicken to access the information.

I can see quicken signing to the Accounts Aggregate in my Ubs account, but Quicken still comes back with CC 501 error that their servers have a problem connecting.

Thank you both for your help.

The answer appears to be UBS Financial services for the connection.

Strange because I have been using Quicken for over 10 years. Always through Ubs online services portal website.

Also, when I ask UBS they said use the online services selection.

And to add fuel to the fire, when I select Ubs Financial Services, Quickens password login screen comes up UBS ONLINE SERVICES.

I got in and was successful in setting up and down loading the accounts.

Thank you both for you time and help.

    Greatly appreciate all
