Unable to download transactions from SDCCU

Transactions can be download and imported via .qfx file for my SDCCU savings and checking account without issues. When I download .qfx file for my CC account I get the below error. This issue has persisted for 1 week. The account has been refreshed and the latest software version is installed. I'd appreciate any suggestions to resolve this.

Thanks!

SDCCU has two different listings in the FIDIR (Financial Institutions Directory) file. This file identifies which FIs support Quicken, which account type(s) they support for download and which connection method(s) they support.:

    01104 01104 01104 San Diego County Credit Union https://www.sdccu.com/ 1-877-732-2848 https://ib.sdccu.com/sdccu/signin.aspx ACTIVE BANKING&WEB-CONNECT BANKING,CREDIT,ACCOUNTINFO&EXP-WEB-CONNECT NOT_QBP NA

    25281 25281 25281 San Diego County CU Credit Card http://www.sdccu.com/ 1-877-732-2848 https://ib.sdccu.com/sdccu/signin.aspx ACTIVE CREDIT,ACCOUNTINFO&EXP-WEB-CONNECT NOT_QBP NA

The process you are using (manually downloading and importing the QFX file from SDCCU's website) is called Web Connect. Neither of these 2 FIDIR listings shows that WEB-CONNECT supports manual downloading/importing of credit card transactions. Instead, only BANKING (checking, savings) can be downloaded via WEB-CONNECT.

To download CREDIT card transactions, you would need to set up your credit card account in Quicken with the EXPRESS-WEB-CONNECT method and then Quicken will be able to download the transactions for you.

Until at least one of these FIDIR listings gets CREDIT added to WEB-CONNECT you will not be able to use Web Connect for downloading and importing your credit card transactions into Quicken. If you try to do that you will get that error message popup you posted above.

Now comes the interesting part: If the FIDIR shows that SDCCU does not support credit cards download/import via Web Connect, then why were you able to download the QFX file for it?

Could this be one of those relatively rare instances where the FIDIR listing is incorrect and needs to be updated to fix this?

I suggest that in Quicken you go to Help > Report a Problem and submit this potential issue there. You can include the URL for this post thread in the report. The Quicken Team will review it and if they feel it is appropriate they will contact the Aggregator and keeper of the FIDIR (Intuit) to look into the matter and correct the FIDIR listing as needed.

Until then, you will need to decide if you want to set up SDCCU with Express Web Connect so you can let Quicken download your credit card transactions or if you will want to set up your credit card as an offline account and manually manage it.
