I cannot renew my Quicken subscription. Contacted Customer service who said my database is corrupt

I have changed nothing on my PC. Running latest Windows 11 operating system. McAfee Anti-virus package active. All other applications are running smoothly. Follow Quicken steps to do daily back up and close cleanly. Yet I am being asked to fork over $850 for a 3 year package of database repair and protection. Sounds like Quicken is looking for more money than their annual subscription. I am happy to pay a reasonable amount of money to fix the database - if that is indeed the problem - but I am not buying a warranty package

You didn't contact Quicken support; you contacted a scammer. Quicken Inc doesn't charge for support other than the subscription price.

You can contact Quicken support at:

    https://www.quicken.com/support#windows

Scroll down until you see this:

You can also log in to your Quicken account at Quicken.com and there is the support phone number at the top of that page.

did you do a Google search for - Quicken Support -

you reached a SCAM website - only click on official Quicken websites… like this forum, or http://www.quicken.com/support

hopefully you didn't click on anything that gave them remote access to your computer ?

back to the other issue - why can't you renew your Quicken -
Where are you going to renew, what are you doing, and what happens ?

Quicken has an auto-renewal associated with your Quicken ID email - so it should just happen -

You will see your subscription expiration here —— Help —> About Quicken
The Quicken phone support number is also listed.

it was weird - ribbon across top of screen reminding me to renew —> clicked renew —> download Quicken —> then click Renew —> payment method —> wouldn’t take card # —> provided nefarious phone # if I had problem — > called # —> answered almost immediately (should’ve been my first clue) —> guy was good —> gave him access to PC (dumb **** but did in the past with them) —> guy acted as if I made mistake —> waited till I got a bit agitated —> asked me to hold —> came back in a few minutes with DB corruption story —> things got salty after the $850 ask —> he got offended and hung up

don't know what you downloaded, if anything -
I would download the current version of Quicken and go from there - https://www.quicken.com/support/update-and-patch-20182019-release-quicken-windows-subscription-product

it was weird - ribbon across top of screen reminding me to renew —> clicked renew —> download Quicken —> then click Renew —>

I am leaning that way - running a deep viral scan right now. Planning on deleting any and all Quicken versions - have back up files from a day or two ago on an external drive to rebuild from
