Can I print the entire list of Standard Tax Category Line Items?
There are seventeen tiny screens like this to scroll through to find the one that (maybe) covers long term care insurance premiums or prescription drugs. Scrolling through them is tedious. If you don't already know what you're looking for you probably won't find it. If I could print the approximately 200 items on one or two pages it would be a whole lot easier.

Thank you. I sort of figured that the update would be only temporary. I don't ever import to TurboTax but I create custom tax reports and what I have found is that the tax categories are a bit lacking and need updating, especially for medical deductions. I use a combination of categories and tax line items to get around this limitation.

Yes, the TLIs are in a text file you can print. Long term care insurance is not among them.

@Rocket J Squirrel - Can you add items to that file so they show up in Quicken?

"A bit"? We have been asking for the TLI list to be completed for decades with no result. Now that Quicken is no longer part of Intuit, I believe this will never happen.

@Rocket J Squirrel I think it would be a monumental effort to update all the tax categories to current and keep it updated every year. If the tax categories would be just used for reporting purposes, that's one thing, but to keep them updated for the TXF export file, I think that's the issue.
When Quicken was a part of Intuit, Intuit had both sides of the equation which made it easier to maintain the interface between Quicken and TurboTax. Now, I think updating the TLI is a no-win situation for Quicken. Update the TLI and the interface gets broken (or broken further). TurboTax updates their program, and the interface no longer works.
So I can see how if Quicken starts to update the TLI and other tax related files, it becomes "going down the rabbit hole". Or, as one of my managers used to say "the devil is in the details".

Intuit never kept these up to date even when they owned Quicken. Doesn't really surprise me, people think that groups talk to each other when they are in the same company, but the truth is most of them have their own problems to deal with and don't want to talk to another department.
If you in the TAX.SCD near the bottom you will see these comments:
And something that I learned recently and mentioned in another thread (probably the idea to be able to edit these) is that the "reference numbers" aren't just picked out of the blue there is a "master list" that has to be maintained but is nowhere to be found in the Quicken install.
Here is a copy of that list:
The General Concepts page says that it is no longer being maintained, and that no online tax program uses it.
