How to adjust a stock cost basis when brokerage sold different positions

I sold 250 shares of a specific stock wherein I owned 2250 shares. My brokerage house sold different buy positions than what I recorded in Quicken. With different positions come different cost basis for same stock. How do I make up the difference in cost basis in quicken as the remaining shares are correct but not the cost basis.
I am using windows / classic business and personal

Go to the Sold transaction for the shares you sold and click on the Specify Lots box. Select the lots to match what was actually sold.
