Investment account disparities between investment house and quicken

I'm on a MacBook Pro OS 12.4
Quicken Classic 7.52

This has been going on a while. I just didn't have the energy to fix it.
Now I want to.
After I update my investment accounts, there is an immediate disparity between what my Quicken has and what shows on the investment house website.
Often by thousands.
What and why?

The "what" is something only you can answer, as we can't see your data. Look at one of your investment accounts and compare the market value, security by security, to your brokerage. What discrepancies are you seeing?
