Will the new version of Quicken use the old Q2017 data file?

Am currently using Quicken Deluxe 2017 version R20.6 running on Windows 10.

Am planning on getting a new computer (running the latest version of Windows) on which I will install the latest version of Quicken.

My question is: Will I be able to simply copy the current .QDF data file over to the new computer and open it and use it with the new version of Quicken?

Yes, you should have no issues loading 2017. Quicken will open the file, perform a file update and you should be on your way.

Just don't buy Starter Edition, it goes into read-only (report generator only) mode if the subscription expires.

-splasher using Q continuously since 1996
    - Subscription Quicken - Win11 and QW2013 - Win11
