Loan Account Variable INterest hangs

Unable to enter regular payment - it hangs. Ive looked at other posts and followed all the suggestions. The post is closed and not sure how it was resolved. Running Canadian Quicken Classic Deluxe R54.17 Have to end task on application to release the hang. Any other suggestions?
