Can't import QFX file downloaded from my bank - Allsouth FCU (edit)
My bank recently changed their website and mobile banking and I can no longer direct connect to get my transactions. They are telling me to use the QFX file download, which I have tried but Quicken will not import it stating "Quicken is currently unable to verify the financial institution information for this download."

Well, someone thought they could just create a QFX file and throw in any number for the INTU.BID/FID. 01234 isn't a valid number and that is why you are getting that error message.
When looking at their actual entry:
From this file:
It has DIRECT (Direct Connect), but not WEB-CONNECT (QFX file).
The financial institution has to get with Intuit (Intuit is Quicken Inc's aggregator that maintains this) and get the support added.

You can't directly edit the file that Quicken uses for this comparison (for what the financial institution supports) and get Quicken to use it.
Maybe you can escalate the problem to someone at the financial institution that actually can understand.
In the meantime, you might want to see if my program ImportQIF can help, it is free:
Be sure to read the documentation on QFX usage so that you don't miss out on some of the functionality you need.

What financial institution?
And if you can edit the QFX file in a text editor and see what the <INTU.BID> number is that would help.

Allsouth Federal Credit Union is the institution. I opened the file and do not see a text string with <INTU.BID>. Maybe that is the issue?

My apologies I was looking at the wrong file. This is what I see in reference to INTU.BID.
><INTU.BID>01234</INTU.BID></SONRS></

Correct, I was using Direct Connect before they screwed everything up by changing their Website and mobile banking this month. Is it possible to update the FID with the information you have there and import it? I complained to the bank about what they did and their response was "just used the Quicken download and import it".
Thanks for the information.
