Opening Balance Changing AGAIN
This is a continuing saga of issues with respect to downloading transactions. Wells Fargo stopped downloading AGAIN using Direct Connect. I switched to Express Web Connect. The downloads started. AND the OPENING BALANCE of a Wells Fargo checking account magically increased by 8799.33 from 2016. WTF. I had to open a backup from 15 days ago to see what the heck happened. Same issue as this I think.

a suggestion for the random Opening Balance being changed by Quicken -
go to each of your Quicken Accounts - and copy the Opening Balance into the MEMO field on that transaction for safe keeping -
then at least you have a reference for the original amount -0 -
@ps56k2: Hmm, this doesn't really address the issue. I have also experienced the Opening Balance changing. Yes, you can correct it and make a note. But, in my opinion, this should not happen, period!
A month or so ago this happened to one of my checking accounts. I went back, figured out the Opening Balance was inexplicably changed and corrected it, but now it's happened again to the same account! So, Yes, I think there's a real underlying issue.
I'm now going back through my backups to see if I can localized it.
