Does someone know why Quicken does not partition stocks (equity) from bonds (debt) under the investments category in the Account Window dashboard? It would help organize investments and seems like such a simple enhancement. What am I missing? Thanks.

Yes, I should have stated Account List Sidebar thank you Ps56k2. It would make a lot sense to segregate bonds from stocks in the Account List Sidebar.

Most investing accounts in Quicken are brokerage accounts that can hold a mixture of stocks, bonds, mutual funds ETFs, and other investments. The Account Bar only has one line per account, so it is not clear how this would work.

One way you can separate different types of investments is in the Investing > Portfolio views. With the "Group by:" selection at the top of the view, you can group and subtotal the view by security type, which will separate out stocks, bonds, ETFs, mutual funds, etc.

You can also group the view by "Investing goal", which is a user definable attribute for each security. That way you could group stocks, and stock funds together, separate from bonds and bond funds. To set the investing goal for a security, click on the security name to open the Security Detail view, then click on Edit details and More info.
