Category (not hidden) doesn't show when trying to assign to a transaction

ON Quicken Mac- The Salary Spouse category (and the subcategories of Holiday, Sick Pay and Vacation) show in my category list and are not hidden. But when trying to assign "Salary Spouse" to a specific transaction, it just isn't there in the list, nor does it come up when I start typing it in manually. See attached screenshots

Your screenshot of the Categories window doesn't show the right side where the Uses and Hidden column are. Are you sure the main category isn't hidden? What happens if you click the checkbox to hide the category, and then uncheck it; does it then show up in the Categories dropdown menu when entering a transaction?
