split transaction for a mortgage payment

When I enter a split transaction for a mortgage payment that included Principal Interest and Escrow all goes well BUT when I complete the transaction and go back into the split and select Ctrl-X on the principal it takes me to a screen that no longer shows ALL my transactions but only an overall summary of the account. I need to be able to see all the Principal payments as the total shown does not agree with my bank statement. It works fine on mortgage payments from Chase as always did BUT NOT working with mortgage payments from WellsFargo and they are both connected with Express Web Connect.
Please let me know what changed to cause that on recent updates and how do I go back to see all transactions for those accounts that they are not shown any more?

is the mortgage account set up for downloading? If so, the register is hidden on purpose. The information is supposed to come from the financial institution, and they won’t don’t want the user changing it.
