Why did the cleared column suddenly disappear? How can I restore it?

The cleared column (between payments and deposits on transactions page) suddenly is missing and although I could reconcile as usual, no c's or R's appear and no column is there for cleared transactions. How can I get it back?

Is this for an investment account or a non-investment account?

For a non-investment:

Select the gear icon on the bottom if you need to push this setting to other accounts.

For investment accounts:

Edit → Preferences → Investments
