My ELAN credit card balance is rounding to the nearest whole dollar? How do I fix this?

Why is my credit card balance rounded to the nearest whole dollar when I do a reconciliation? I have to add or deduct the difference to make the online amount match my Quicken amount. This started approximately a week ago. Other accounts are not affected. I'm using Quicken Classic Deluxe, ver 7.6.1 for Mac.

I'm using Fidelity Visa via Elan. Balances on their websites both calculate to the penny; but when I reconcile in Quicken, the Elan number is rounded to the neaarest dollar, thus requiring an adjustment.

Are you reconciling using the Online Balance? That amount is what's sent to Quicken by the financial institution, so if it's a rounded number, it's coming from there. If it started a week ago, then we know there was no update to Quicken around that time, so something must have changed in what Elan is exporting.

Instead of reconciling to the only balance, you might consider clicking on Use Statement Balance to reconcile to either monthly statement (or a balance you obtain from the financial institution website if you need to reconcile mid-month). Using this option, you enter the ending balance yourself, so you can use the correct non-rounded amount.
