I'm trying to reconcile my checking account and I happen to have a lot of money in it [for buying a house] and I keep getting "enter a valid amount" — Looks like I can't reconcile that account. why does quicken have a limit like that and is there some way to get around it?

How much money is in that account? More than 10 digits, including the pennies (which would be over $100 million)? Exact amount not needed, just an approximation.

OR, perhaps, are you using an non USD or CAD currency?

You are putting it in without any commas, aren't you?

I'm an idiot — that must have been the problem. I just tried again this morning with no stupid commas and it reconciled just fine. thanks!
