Quicken Classic - Planning, Everything Else Category Will Not Print
I am trying to print my budget and the nice feature of having Everything Else is great for those expeditures outside my budgeted category. I would like Everything else to print the detail as it is on the screen inside the Quicken Classic program. I can't get Everything Else to print. I have had to resort to doing a screen print, converting the PNG file to Excel to get the data usable.
I print the budget from File, Print Budget.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

I print the budget from File, Print Budget. The detail on Everything Else does not print - only a total line for Everything Else.
I have been working around this issue for years. We sure need a simple fix!

Make sure you have Category "Not Categorized" under Categories and that you select "Include All" under advanced…It will then show your non-categories items both Income uncategorized and Expense uncategorized

Hello @Terry Nelson,
To help troubleshoot this issue, please provide more information. Is this happening in the Annual view of the budget or the Graph view (monthly view), or both views?
A work around that may be simpler than converting a screenshot to Excel would be clicking the reports dropdown near the upper right, selecting Current Budget, then printing that report.
I look forward to your reply!

Your explanation would work for those items that appear under everything else that are not categorized. All my transactions ARE categorized. The categories that appear under Everything Else are expenditures that fall outside of the budgeted categories. I want to be able to print the unbudgeted categories. I don't want to budget then per se, I just want to be able to print them as they appear on my screen. Currently, I have to take multiple screen shots and print the jpeg or jpg picture in order print. Cheesy at best.
Thank you for your reply, however, the solution does not solve the issue I am facing.

Thanks for your reply, However, printing the report will NOT print the Everything Else. The reports and/or exports only show budgeted items plus Everything Else as a total…no detail. I am after the detail.

The basic problem is that "Everything Else" isn't a category … but rather an amalgamation of, well, everything else.
And the Budget report prints categories … which is what one budgets.

As far as I know, the Quicken File > Print (CTRL-p) has never printed the detail of Everything Else, and my guess is that it's intentional.
But if your goal is to see what categories you have not budgeted for, you CAN use the Quicken budget reports for that.
In the Categories dropdown on the Advanced tab of the Customize dialog for a budget report:
- choose "Non-zero Actual/Budgeted" to see those categories with non-zero values that are not in the budget
- choose "Include All" to see all the categories not in the budget-JP
